Brass Idol Madurai Veeran 5.6 Inch
Description
Brass Idol Madurai Veeran – 5.6 Inch Handcrafted Brass Statue
This powerfully handcrafted Brass Idol Madurai Veeran captures one of Tamil Nadu’s most revered and beloved folk deities in his iconic warrior form — standing tall and commanding in the Sthanaka (upright) posture, one arm raised high brandishing a curved Vaal (sword) aloft in a gesture of supreme valour and protection, the other arm hanging down firmly gripping a Gada (mace/club) at his side. Madurai Veeran is depicted with his characteristic large, bold face with prominent eyes and a proud moustache, wearing a warrior’s helmet-style crown adorned with a feather plume, traditional warrior armour with a chest plate, an ornate waistband, a short dhoti, anklets, and sandals — all mounted on a beautifully detailed multi-tiered stepped square base with lotus petal detailing. Madurai Veeran (also known as Madurai Veera or Veeran) is a powerful guardian deity (Kaval Deivam) widely worshipped across Tamil Nadu, particularly in Madurai and surrounding regions, as a protector of villages, households, and devotees. He is believed to ward off evil, protect from enemies, and bring courage and victory to his devotees. Crafted from premium quality brass with a rich antique golden finish with reddish-copper highlights, this substantial idol weighs approximately 450 grams with dimensions of 5.6 inch (H) × 2.6 inch (L) × 1.8 inch (B).
