This magnificently handcrafted Brass Kamatchi Amman Vilakku is a deeply sacred and ornate South Indian goddess oil lamp that brings the divine blessings and grace of Goddess Kamatchi Amman (Kamakshi Devi) — the supreme goddess of love, beauty, and compassion — into your home temple or pooja room. Every time you light this lamp, the warm golden glow of the flame illuminates the exquisitely detailed face of the Goddess, creating a profoundly devotional and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. This beautifully crafted piece features a wide, shallow square-based oil lamp bowl (Diya/Deepam) with a polished golden interior and a single wick spout at the front, mounted on a decorative square stepped/tiered base with lotus petal and floral motif relief carving, with two small side handle arms extending from the lamp bowl for easy handling. Rising majestically from the back of the lamp is a large, ornate Prabhamandala (arched aureole/halo) with a beautifully serrated flame-tipped border all around the arch, the interior of the arch featuring a beautifully detailed high-relief carving of Goddess Kamatchi Amman (Kamakshi) — seated in lalitasana on a lotus throne, flanked by two attendants/Dwarapalikas, with a tall crown/Mukuta, multiple arms, and intricate jewellery — crowned at the very top of the arch with a small lotus bud/Kalasha finial. The reverse side of the arch features dense floral scrollwork. The entire lamp is crafted in bright polished golden brass, radiating warmth and divine light when lit. Weighing approximately 260 grams with dimensions of 4.5 inch (H) × 3 inch (L) × 3.8 inch (B).
